In Wisconsin, low-income families are covered when it comes to health insurance.
Call the Maternal and Child Health hotline at 1-800-722-2295 to find out more about programs you may be eligible for.
Low-cost, high-quality health insurance is available. Through Badger Care, Healthy Start or Medicaid, you’ll get coverage to keep your family healthier and make life easier. Plus, all medical care is delivered by doctors and nurses at established medical facilities.
Your insurance will include these benefits:
- Check-ups
- Immunizations
- Prenatal care
- Emergency Care
- Prescriptions
- and much more!
Eligibility Requirements. Following are the current income eligibility guidelines for free, high-quality health insurance. To find out if you’re covered, locate the number of people in your family on the left of the chart, then go to the right to find the corresponding income level. If you make that amount or less, you are eligible. If your income is slightly more than that amount, you should still call the Maternal and Child Health Hotline in case you are eligible due to certain deductibles.
